Charity Shops
All of our Charity shops are helping us raise vital funds towards our brain injury services across the Birmingham and Solihull areas. We depend on regular donations and volunteer help to continue this success at all of our charity shops and so please do get in touch if you can help in any way.
Donations can be dropped off at our shops or our local brain injury centres. We can also collect larger items and big donations.
The first shop was opened in Great Barr in January 2006 by the charity’s patron at the time Prof Carl Chinn. Located in the heart of the local community, this shop has thrived since the day it opened, offering a great variety of clothing, accessories, books, toys, games & more besides, thanks to the generosity of those living nearby. The shop is managed by two paid part-time staff and a team of wonderful volunteers, without whose help we could not survive.
We also opened a third shop in April 2019, next door to the original shop in Thornbridge Avenue, Great Barr. This new shop, called Headway Homes, is a new format store selling furniture and other household items. It is off to an excellent start, boosted by our collection/delivery service.
Our second shop was opened in Rubery in July 2016 and our client Manny Galsinh was given the honour of cutting the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Again the shop is managed by two paid part-time staff plus some volunteers who make such a difference.
